Job summary

Responsibilities include safe patient care using nursing processes, direct patient care within scope, and teaching patient/family while coordinating with physicians. Requires RN license, BLS/ACLS, and ICU/Telemetry experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
