Job summary

UTMB Health in Texas seeks a registered nurse (RN) with an active Texas license to provide high-quality inpatient care within a specialty unit. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered nursing services.

Requirements include BLS and ACLS certification and at least two years of inpatient hospital experience.

Qualifications

• RN with current license to practice nursing in Texas.
• Two (2) years of inpatient hospital experience within the last 2 years.
• Must have current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and UTMB policies.
• Deliver culturally congruent and specialty appropriate nursing care with compassion.
• Educate patients and families using Teach-Back and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to coordinate patient care and safety.
