Job summary

UTMB Health in Webster, Texas is seeking a competent Registered Nurse to join the Nursing & Care Management team. The role requires an RN with two years of clinical experience, a current Texas RN license or permit, and an active BLS certification.

The nurse will perform assessments, planning, and implementation of patient care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet UTMB standards and ensure safe, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• RN with two years of clinical RN experience.
• Must possess and maintain a current license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents the daily care of assigned patients.
• Identifies nursing diagnoses/patient care needs and revises the plan of care as needed.
• Executes physician's orders for all assigned patients; administers medications and treatments.
• Performs routine technical procedures/skills in the specialty area.
• Provides patient/family instruction and healthcare teaching.
• Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes patient care activities with inter-disciplinary team.
• Maintains safety and continuity of care using hand-off tools/processes.
