Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a registered nurse to join a 22-bed telemetry unit providing full patient care across med-surg telemetry. The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, conducting nursing assessments, and supporting care transitions.

Experience of 1-3 years preferred; RN II/III/IV progression; Texas license and BLS required; bachelor’s degree preferred; opportunities for precepting and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Current Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Basic Life Support certification; additional certifications may be required based on unit needs.
• Experience levels: RN I <1 year, RN II 1-3 years, RN III 3-10 years, RN IV 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care to patients on the telemetry unit.
• Coordinates nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team.
• Administers treatments, conducts assessments, and maintains medical records.
• Supports discharge planning and patient education; serves as a preceptor or mentor as needed.
