Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Licensed in Texas or eligible for temporary/compact license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops discharge/transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement initiatives.
• Addresses diverse patient needs and maintains high service standards within budget.
• Ensures safe care for patients, staff and visitors; follows MHHS policies.
• Supports professional growth; may act as preceptor or mentor.
• Other duties as assigned.
