Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri or Compact Licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
• One year nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows hospital policies for patient safety and infection prevention to provide a safe care environment.
• Delivers quality nursing care including medication administration and patient/family teaching.
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status and support clinical decisions.
• Documents patient care activities and quality monitoring items to ensure compliance.
• Communicates patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes and supports teamwork.
• Interacts with patient and family to educate and improve care experiences.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and pursues continued education to develop nursing skills.
