Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. in Grand Junction, CO, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a focus on evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary coordination.

The RN will lead the care team, ensure timely documentation, and maintain professional standards while supporting education and patient/family involvement. BSN preferred; BLS required; compact licenses transferrable within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four (4) years of their hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status and collaborates with the team.
• Develops individualized plan of care and involves patient and family in education and decisions.
• Directs care through delegation, coordination, and time/resource management.
• Evaluates patient responses and revises the care plan as needed.
• Promotes nursing professionalism and adheres to legal/ethical standards, documentation.
