Valley Health in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse I for the Telemetry Step-Down unit. The RN applies the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver safe, effective patient care.

This role emphasizes quality communication, teamwork, and leadership, with patient teaching and involvement in quality/safety initiatives. Requires Virginia RN license (or eligible via compact) and BLS; BSN preferred for career development.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or eligibility to practice under the Nurse Licensure Compact
• BLS certification required (AHA) prior to orientation
• Experience in telemetry or step-down nursing preferred
• Ability to perform nursing process and provide patient education

Responsibilities

• Carry out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide patient teaching and coordinate care with health team
• Lead and participate in quality and safety initiatives
• Serve as Charge Nurse as needed
