Job summary

Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Medicine Telemetry Unit in Virginia Beach, VA. The role oversees daily operations, leads nursing staff, and drives safety, quality, and family-centered care.

Requires Virginia RN or compact license, BLS, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and 1 year in management with 3 years nursing experience. On-site, full-time with some on-call and weekend duties.

Qualifications

RN license in Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
BLS - AHA certification (Basic Life Support)
Bachelor's Level Degree in Nursing
1 year of management experience
3 years of nursing experience

Responsibilities

Has overall accountability for daily operations of one or more clinical areas.
Supervises patient care staff and ensures patient safety and quality outcomes.
Interviews, hires, develops, and retains staff to build a reliable team.
Communicates effectively to achieve unit and corporate goals.
Assists in developing and monitoring the unit budget and coordinates purchasing/payroll processes, serving as a clinical resource to the team
