Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry to deliver safe patient care and coordinate with physicians on patient conditions and diagnostic results. The role requires adherence to nursing processes and guidance of patient/family education.

Key qualifications include active RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within hire timelines, and preferred Acute Care experience. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available; full-time days schedule 7:00am–7:30pm with 3-12 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within telemetry scope and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to the physician.
• Maintain standards of care and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
