Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to join the Medical/Telemetry Unit on a full-time basis. You will provide safe, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced acute care setting, guided by Patient Centered Care principles and Service Excellence standards.

Requirements include graduation from an NLN-approved RN program, a current Nevada RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Current ACLS certificate.
• Must have one year full time or three years part time experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.

Education

RN program (accredited/NLN approved)

Nevada nursing license

BLS certificate

ACLS certificate

Acute care RN experience (1 year FT / 3 years PT)
