Northern Nevada Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse for a Per Diem position on our Medical/Telemetry Unit in Sparks, Nevada. The role focuses on safe, compassionate care with a patient-centered approach in a busy acute care setting.

This day-shift RN position supports the hospital’s quality of care goals and requires current NV RN license, BLS, ACLS, and relevant acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Current ACLS certificate.
• Must have one year full time or three years part time experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
