Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital in Southern California is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a part-time role in our Med/Surg/Telemetry unit. You will deliver safe patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct patient and family teaching, and guide nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
