Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Unit in Sherman Oaks, CA. The role delivers safe, evidence-based patient care and guides patient/family teaching while coordinating with physicians on clinical changes.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Prior acute care and ventilator management are preferred, with BSN encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment.
