Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Unit in Sherman Oaks, CA. The role delivers safe, evidence-based patient care and guides patient/family teaching while coordinating with physicians on clinical changes.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Prior acute care and ventilator management are preferred, with BSN encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $40.41 to $69.32. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
