Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Tucson is seeking a full-time Telemetry RN for day shifts in a fast-paced unit. The team cares for six patients and offers self-scheduling; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible, experienced RNs.

The Telemetry unit provides complex care, enabling advanced skills and critical thinking. ACLS certification and Basic EKG training are part of onboarding, with ongoing professional development and a strong focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care; 1+ year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational protocols.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports condition changes.
• Administers medications, monitors for adverse effects, documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency, according to scope.
• Develops and updates individualized care plans with the health care team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
