Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to collaborate with the healthcare team and patient/family, delivering compassionate, high-quality care on our Telemetry unit. You will actively engage in the nursing process to promote safety, comfort, and healing in a mission-driven environment.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, perform interventions, document clearly, and educate patients and families while upholding standards and the State Nurse Practice

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• RN License in state of employment required.
• Physical requirements: medium work, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs; evaluate responses and intervene for optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient care plans; observe outcomes with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in therapeutic/diagnostic interventions (IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, specimen collection).
• Maintain thorough and confidential charts; document status, interventions, and outcomes; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote and advocate for patient health, safety, and rights; collaborate with the care team.
• Provide patient/family education and assess learning needs; teach and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.
