Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess patients and design an individualized plan of care.
• Provides patient/family education and promotes compliance with the care plan.
• Delegates appropriate tasks to CNAs and student nurses based on competence; follows California Nurse Practice Act.
• Administers medications and IV therapies and responds to emergencies per protocols.

Education

RN licensure in state of practice required

BSN degree preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

PALS certification (where applicable)
