Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for telemetry. The role involves direct patient care, daily living activities, vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, EKG testing, and specimen collection under the supervision of the RN.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required and approved credential per listed options.
• CNA/NCMA/NCPCT certification or Navy Hospital Corps School completion.
• Current student in clinical program (RN/LPN/RT/PT) within last 3 years qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs and assist with mobility/ambulation.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and EKG testing.
• Remove peripheral IVs and collect specimens.
• Insert and remove Foley catheters as needed.
• Document patient status and changes; report to RN promptly.
