Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Part Time Patient Care Technician for Day shifts in Williamsburg, VA. The role supports RN staff with patient care, vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, EKG testing, and specimen collection in a medical telemetry setting.

The candidate should have a HS diploma or equivalent and a qualifying certification (CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent). BLS/CPR certification is preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required and relevant certifications may be accepted.
• CPR/BLS or equivalent certification is preferred.
• experience providing patient care and vital signs measurement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and observe physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
• Record vital signs, assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG testing, and specimen collection as directed.
• Assist with Foley catheter insertion/removal and IV removal under supervision.
