BJC HealthCare's Christian Hospital in St. Louis is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses, supporting a safe environment and patient well‑being.

The role involves assisting with ADLs, taking vitals, reporting changes, ensuring supplies, and participating in safety and quality activities; preferred CNA/EMT/Surgical tech backgrounds; 36 hours weekly with day shifts, holiday rotation, and every other weekend required.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience as CNA, nurse assistant, EMT or surgical technician.
• Certification as CNA preferred where applicable.
• Ability to work in a fast paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision and promotes patient safety.
• Administers ADLs, takes vital signs, I&O, fall and pressure ulcer prevention.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes to the nurse promptly.
• Assists with patient/family education and maintains accurate documentation.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available for patient needs.
