Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a trained CNA to provide direct patient care under nursing supervision at Christian Hospital in St. Louis. The role emphasizes patient safety, ADLs, and vital sign monitoring within a 36-hour week schedule.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and a Certified Nurse Assistant license; prior CNA/emergency care experience is preferred but not strictly required. Benefits are provided through BJC Total Rewards, with weekend rotations and holiday shift exchanges

Qualifications

Certified Nurse Assistant license required.
No experience required; experience preferred in CNA, nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical tech.

Responsibilities

Implements direct patient care under supervision of the nurse and assists with ADLs, vital signs, intake/output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention.
Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
Assists nurse with patient and family education; documents all patient care activities.
Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
Promotes patient safety and participates in quality, regulatory, and professional development activities.
