Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital is seeking a Student Nurse – Nursing Assistant (SN-NA) to support the Med / Surg / Telemetry team in a per diem capacity. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living and providing basic nursing care to non-critical patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit.

Ideal candidates are actively enrolled in a nursing program, with GPA 3.0 or higher, and current BLS (AHA) certification.

Qualifications

• Education, experience, training as required by the role.
• Completed first semester of nursing program.
• Maintained minimum GPA of 3.0 throughout the program.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required on hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Not NCLEX eligible or holding an RN license.
• Approval by faculty teaching fundamentals and/or the Dean of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment and supports unit operations while enrolled in a nursing program.
