Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Telemetry Nurse Manager for TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Kentucky to oversee daily unit operations, staffing, and clinical outcomes. The role partners with leaders to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care on the telemetry unit.

The ideal candidate has an RN license in Kentucky, 5 years acute care and 3-5 years leadership, BLS, ACLS and PALS, and a track record of staff development and safe, efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky or compact state.
• 5 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of charge RN or related leadership experience preferred.
• BLS required or obtained within 90 days; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.

• Help create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and care appropriate to patient ages.
• Manage all staffing needs including interviewing, hiring and training new staff.
• Oversee care of patients on unit, providing consistent support and expertise to staff.
• Maintain unit workflow by ensuring proper staff levels and competency.
• Handle patient, visitor, or physician complaints promptly and professionally.
• Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to department employees.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to improve patient care delivery.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Telemetry Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What you will do in this role:

• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.

• Manage all staffing needs and personnel management including interviewing, hiring and training new staff members.

• Oversee care of patients on unit, providing consistent support and expertise to staff.

• Perform duties in accordance with unit specific standards of care and evidenced by completion of a competency skills check list.

• Maintain overall workflow of unit by ensuring proper staff levels.

• Manage and coordinate all unit activities including safety procedures, unit goals and department operations.

• Handle patient, visitor, or physician complaints promptly and in a professional manner.

• Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to department employees.

• Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to improve patient care delivery.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kentucky or compact state required.

• 5 years of acute care nursing care experience preferred.

• 3-5 years of charge RN or related leadership experience preferred.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
