Job summary

Desert Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Manager for the Telemetry Department on the night shift. The role leads telemetry staff, manages HR activities, and ensures quality of patient care across stroke, bariatric, and interventional cardiology protocols.

You will oversee staffing, performance evaluations, and compliance with licensing and training requirements, while coordinating education and process improvements to support patient safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• California RN license required; BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must successfully complete NIHSS within 30 days of hire.
• EKG test within first 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; demonstrated leadership skills.
• Professional presentation and conduct required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of telemetry staff for care of telemetry, stroke, bariatric patients and interventional cardiology protocols.
• Lead telemetry team in patient care and related protocols and medications.
• Assess information and interpret to meet patient needs.
• Manage human resources including hiring, evaluations, and counseling.
• Ensure staff competency, performance reviews, and timely HR documentation.
• Coordinate staff orientation and mandatory continuing education.
• Promote staffing efficiency and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Assist in developing department goals and budgeting considerations.
