Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a Monitor Technician/Patient Unit Care Technician for the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This full-time role supports cardiac monitoring and clerical tasks under supervision, ensuring smooth patient flow and safe care delivery.

Ideal candidates have California credential, basic EKG interpretation, and good communication; bilingual in Spanish or Chinese preferred, with 1–2 years hospital experience. Work hours 7:00 am–7:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Current California license/certification/registration required.
• Prior experience in acute facility preferred or formal classroom education and inservice orientation.
• Successful completion of Basic EKG Interpretation.
• Bilingual Spanish or Chinese preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology or completion of course within 6 months.
• 1-2 years hospital/healthcare experience in clerical/office or unit clerking preferred.
