• An alternate option is 1 year of monitor technician surveillance experience within the last 5 years.
• Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency must be completed after new employee orientation.

Responsibilities

• Observe, recognize, interpret, evaluate and document EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients.
• Detect deviations from the patient’s norm and communicate findings.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in ongoing competency assessments.
