Qualifications

• Completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire.
• Candidates without the program must complete a certificate within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia competency test after orientation.

Responsibilities

• Observe, recognize, interpret, and document EKG tracings on telemetry patients.
• Detect deviations from patient norms and promptly notify staff.
• Operate and ensure safe functioning of telemetry equipment.
