White Oak Medical Center is seeking an experienced Monitor Technician for our Central Telemetry Unit. The role involves documenting cardiac rhythm, obtaining monitor strips, and ensuring smooth operation of the monitoring console across night shifts.

You will report rhythm changes to nurses, verify alarms, and support multidisciplinary quality improvement teams. A diploma or GED plus a Monitor Technician program and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of the Monitor Technician Program within 6 months of hire.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Document rhythm on EKG flow sheet and report changes to the nurse.
• Obtain strips on irregularities and maintain monitored patient flow sheets.
• Maintain the Monitoring Console operation and ensure paper loaders are full.
• Monitor assigned telemetry console and provide timely patient reports to relief staff.
