White Oak Medical Center is seeking an experienced Monitor Technician for the Heart and Vascular Unit. You will document cardiac rhythms, obtain monitor strips, and maintain the monitoring equipment while supporting the care team during 12-hour night shifts.

The role requires an active BLS certification, a Monitor Technician Program completion within 6 months, and 1 year of experience with emergency rhythm monitoring. Non-exempt, full-time with weekend rotation.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience with emergency situations and maintaining continuous strips of cardiac rhythms.
• Completion of the Monitor Technician Program within 6 months of hire.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Aufgaben

• Document rhythm on EKG flow sheet and report changes to nurse.
• Obtain strips on irregularities and monitor telemetry.
• Maintain charge requisitions on monitored patients and alert staff as needed.
• Ensure safe operation of the Monitoring Console at all times and verify alarms are on.
