Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Monitor Technician to oversee Central Station Telemetry for adult, geriatric, and occasional adolescent patients. You will report any cardiac changes to the nurse in charge and help ensure continuous monitor coverage.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; hospital patient care experience is preferred. This full-time night role supports the Mary and Elizabeth - UMC location in Louisville, KY.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required (AHA).
• Experience using EMR systems in a hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to monitor multiple patients and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on Central Station Telemetry in Mixed Acuity/CCU.
• Report cardiac and vital sign changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain accurate telemetry records and monitor coverage.
• Perform EKGs when needed and ensure equipment cleaning.
