Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician for the night shift to monitor, recognize and report cardiac arrhythmias for a group of patients. The role involves remote observation, ensuring patient safety, and performing related duties in the central station and on care units.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, ability to read and write English at a high school level, and completion of an arrhythmia class within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read and write English at a high school level.
• Must successfully complete an arrhythmia class within first 30 days of employment.
• Must complete an arrhythmia competency test within annual CMT Blitz education.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms for a group of patients assigned to the Central Monitoring Area.
• Monitors patients using continuous tele-visual monitoring to assure patient safety.
• Documents cardiac rhythms on the Cardiac Monitor Flow Sheet and patient behaviors/interventions on the Patient Monitoring Log.
• Delivers rhythm strips and other patient care documentation to the patient care units as needed.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to prioritize/allocate monitoring resources.
• Delivers telemetry equipment to floors and assists with monitoring hookup and teaching.
