Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Telemetry Monitor Technician in Oshkosh to maintain continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors and promptly alert the Registered Nurse to any rhythm changes. The role requires handling confidential patient information and ensuring accurate hourly rhythm records.

Ideal candidates will have completed telemetry education within 6–12 weeks, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to manage priorities in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• Successful completion of telemetry education and competency within 6-12 weeks of hire.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance on telemetry monitors.
• Promptly notify RN of changes in heart rhythm.
• Record patient heart rhythm hourly and as changes occur.
• Run telemetry strips for the RN per policy and procedure.
• Notify nursing staff of telemetry signal interruptions.
• Provide daily inventory to maintain transmitters and lead wires.
• Handle confidential medical information regularly.
