Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Monitor Technologist to oversee continuous telemetry monitoring and documentation. The role requires completion of a dysrhythmia course within the first week and strong communication skills.

Work hours are 7am–7pm, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and shared holidays. Benefits eligible with a full-time status and competitive compensation in the stated pay range.

Qualifications

• Education and certification requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a dysrhythmia course within the first week.
• Knowledge of various dysrhythmias and medical terminology is required.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and strong communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous telemetry monitoring and proper documentation.
• Verify monitoring equipment is functioning correctly.
• Communicate dysrhythmia changes in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge related to dysrhythmia monitoring and participate in quality improvement.
• Support age-appropriate care and efficient use of resources.
