Job summary

Highpoint Health- Sumner in Middle Tennessee is seeking a Monitor Technician to join our patient-care team. This full-time day shift role supports continuous monitoring and timely intervention to ensure patient safety.

As a Monitor Technician, you will perform surveillance of multiple monitors, identify significant arrhythmias, and report changes to nursing staff. You will also test equipment and communicate issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Handle with Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Performing continual surveillance of multiple monitors
• Identifying significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately
• Reporting abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
• Testing equipment for proper working order and reports problems to supervisor
