Job summary

Lifepoint Health—Highpoint Health-Sumner in Gallatin, TN, is seeking a Monitor Technician to join our patient-care team. As part of the Lifepoint Health network, you will perform continuous surveillance of monitor systems to detect arrhythmias and signs of patient distress, and communicate findings to nursing staff.

You will ensure equipment functions properly, assist in maintaining patient safety, and support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Handle with Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identify significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervene appropriately.
• Report abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Test equipment for proper working order and report problems to supervisor.

Education
