Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Monitor Technician to observe telemetry, document patterns, and alert nursing staff to abnormalities. This role supports patient care in the telemetry unit and helps maintain accurate logbooks.

Candidates should have basic EKG knowledge, strong communication, and ability to work nights and weekends. A high school diploma and familiarity with Microsoft Office are preferred; training on AdventHealth policies will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Basic EKG knowledge and arrhythmia identification.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Observe monitors, document readings and notify nursing staff of abnormalities.
• Maintain telemetry logbook and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain alarms set and audible per policy.
• Participate in quality initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Ensure clean and organized work environment and proper equipment sanitization.
