Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• 2 years of med/surg telemetry nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Strong teamwork, accountability and patient-focused care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per latest evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluations.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transition of care.
