Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Jersey Shore University Medical Center team. This role delivers evidence-based nursing care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and supports patient and family education across the care continuum.

The position requires NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with telemetry certification preferred; BSN in progress or commitment to pursue within 3 years is expected.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• Telemetry certification is preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based policies and standards of care to provide safe patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team about status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging patients safely and coordinating continuum of care.
