Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Telemetry Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorates. You will provide critical engineering expertise for pre-mission trajectory validation and performance analysis for flight test events, with onsite participation during the events.

Responsibilities include developing ballistic target vehicles, system design analysis, data product development, and telemetry data processing.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required; US Citizenship.
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
• 7+ years of related professional experience.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, and other programming languages.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support MDA TC program office with development of ballistic missile target vehicles.
• Assist TC System Engineering in requirements development, modeling & simulation, test analysis and reporting.
• Utilize missile characteristics and engineering to support activities and data product development.
• Focus on vehicle telemetry and mission analysis.
• Configure and operate telemetry data acquisition equipment during test events.
• Perform vehicle telemetry data decommutation, reduction, conversions.
• Generate target vehicle visualizations, situational awareness displays, and reports/briefings.
• Support mission planning, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary experts to develop analysis and engineering tools.
