Job summary

Great River Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA) for the Telemetry Unit in West Burlington, IA. The role is part‑time with a 6:30am–7:00pm schedule, every other weekend, and includes a $2,500 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, wound prevention, monitoring vitals, and documenting in the medical record. CNA certification and computer skills are required or pending completion within four months.

Qualifications

• Completion of C.N.A. course (or complete within four months of hire date) required
• Computer experience required
• Health care experience within the last five years preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Answer call lights promptly and relay requests to nurses
• Perform bedside shift reports and document in medical records
• Monitor patients' conditions and vital signs, report changes to staff
• Transport patients and assist with transfers
• Operate office equipment and telemetry systems as needed
• Ensure patient safety and fall prevention with alarms and devices
• Operate office equipment and telemetry systems as required.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers under supervision.
• Follow infection control practices and use safety equipment properly.
