Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Telemetry units on a full-time 3rd shift. The CNA will provide direct patient care on Telemetry 4 and Telemetry 3 units, supporting medical-surgical and telemetry patients with essential daily activities.

The role requires Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or completion of the first year of a nursing program with clinical rotation, a high school diploma, and BLS within 30 days of hire. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care and related tasks as outlined by scope of practice and including but not limited to bathing, dental and oral care, hair and nail care.
• Assist patients with bowel and bladder functions while maintaining dignity.
• Records patient intake and output (I & O).
• Collects, labels, and transports specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Changes and transports soiled linens according to procedure and maintains clean patient room/environment.
• Assist patients with activity, turning and repositioning as indicated by provider order and in collaboration with the nurse.
• Communicates pertinent patient information/findings to patient’s nurse and sets priorities for care of multiple patients.
