Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking Nursing Assistants for the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units to provide compassionate, patient-centered care within a supportive interdisciplinary team. You will care for a diverse patient population, including postpartum mothers and newborns, while performing routine nursing tasks and safety checks.

A strong focus on teamwork and clinical observation is expected. Available shifts include Full-Time Days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and Part-Time Days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first year nursing school with clinical validation.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Perform glucose monitoring, EKGs, venipuncture as delegated.
• Support ambulation, transfers, and recovery needs.
• Respond to patient/family needs promptly and maintain safety.
