Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. in Boston, MA, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (PCA) to join the 6 South Med/Telemetry unit. Under RN supervision, you will perform glucose monitoring, EKGs, dressings, aseptic technique, and respond to medical emergencies using Heartsaver CPR and AED.

This fast-paced unit serves adults with acute and chronic conditions; schedule is 40 hours, evening shifts, every other weekend and holidays. Competitive pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• AHA Heartsaver, CPR and AED program required.

Responsibilities

• Support the RN with clinical tasks, including blood glucose monitoring and performing EKGs, applying simple dressings, and using aseptic technique.
• Respond to the needs of patients and family members and take an active role in the efficient operation of the unit.
• Maintain the Patient and Family Centered Care Model on the unit.
