Job summary

Adventist Health Glendale in Glendale, CA seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of an RN, supporting daily living activities and reporting concerns as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• BLS certification: Required
• Phlebotomy Certification: Preferred in CA and HI
• Audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate: Preferred in CA and HI
• CNA certification: Required

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, restraints and restorative care.
• Takes vital signs including pulse and blood pressure.
• Helps patients with their basic needs, i.e., bathing, dressing and feeding.
• Performs clerical duties, such as routing patient reports, using organizational skills to keep the unit running smoothly and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines as indicated. Provides assessment data to the certified nurse within scope of practice (vital signs, patient verbal and nonverbal responses, etc.).
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Phlebotomy Certification
