Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and maintaining a safe patient environment. You will also help stock supplies, operate equipment as directed, and perform routine clerical tasks.

The role requires CNA certification or enrollment in an accredited nursing program, current BLS, and strong English communication. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be Certified Nurses Assistant or enrolled in accredited nursing program with completion of at least 1 clinical semester.
• Current Basic Life Support certification upon hire (American Heart Association).
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and assist with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment and stock supplies.
• Assist with operating hospital equipment as directed and perform routine clerical tasks.
