Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Telemetry Certified Nursing Assistant for the Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. The Telemetry CNA supports patients under cardiac monitoring and collaborates closely with the nursing team to ensure accurate observation and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include measuring and documenting vital signs, monitoring shifts and cardiac monitors, and serving as a liaison between patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation)
• Observe patients for any changes in condition, such as increased discomfort, difficulty breathing, or changes in mental status, and report findings to the RN
• Observe cardiac monitors and reporting any irregularities to the nursing staff
• Ensure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning
• Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing team

We are seeking aTelemetryCNA,sometimes referred to as aCertified Nursing Assistant(CNA).TheCertified Nursing Assistant in our telemetry unit playsan important rolein the care of patients who require continuous monitoring of their heart and vital signs. Our Telemetry units typically care for patients with cardiac conditions, post-surgical needs, or other medical issues requiring close monitoring. Our CNA’s provide essential support to patients under close cardiac monitoring.
