Job summary

St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO, is hiring a Telemetry CNA to monitor patients under cardiac telemetry and document vital signs. You will support the nursing team in acute care settings and ensure telemetry equipment is functioning correctly.

The role requires a current CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and up to six months of experience in an acute care setting. This is a full-time day shift position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum six months’ experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document vital signs (BP, HR, RR, temp, SpO2).
• Observe patients for changes in condition and report to RN.
• Monitor cardiac monitors and report irregularities to nursing staff.
• Ensure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing team.

Hours: 12-Hour shifts – 7:00am to 7:00pm

Location : St. Mary's Medical Center – Blue Springs, MO

We are seeking a Telemetry CNA, sometimes referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The Certified Nursing Assistant in our telemetry unit plays an important role in the care of patients who require continuous monitoring of their heart and vital signs. Our Telemetry units typically care for patients with cardiac conditions, post-surgical needs, or other medical issues requiring close monitoring. Our CNA’s provide essential support to patients under close cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• M easure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation)
• O bserve patients for any changes in condition, such as increased discomfort, difficulty breathing, or changes in mental status, and report findings to the RN
• O bserve cardiac monitors and reporting any irregularities to the nursing staff
• E nsure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning
• A ct as a liaison between patients and the nursing team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
