Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards.
• Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care and medication administration.
• Ensures patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance and participates in professional development.
• Develops and documents plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural and population-specific dimensions.
