Job summary

The New Mexico VA Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 5D Telemetry Acute Care Service. You will deliver direct nursing care to acutely ill patients and coordinate with the care team in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must meet VA nursing requirements, including licensure, accreditation of nursing education, and potential bridge program pathways toward permanent appointment after completion.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required
• Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE)
• Foreign-educated nurses must have degree equivalency validation for licensure
• Eligible for licensure in the United States and able to obtain state license

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the 5D Telemetry Acute Care service.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document care accurately and maintain patient safety and privacy
